Social change organisation research

Next week, 2/10/17 we will be doing a 5-minute presentation to the class, about the organisation that each of us has researched. The organisation that I have picked is Oxfam.

[3] The social issue that I want to campaign about is inequality around the world. Oxfam UK is a campaign that focuses on ending inequality, specifically ending poverty and injustice.
Global Warming is one of the main causes of poverty. For instance, wars create pollution and the wars in countries like Syria and Palestine are affected and people lose their homes and families. That contributes to the Maslow Hierarchy of needs because people lose their psychological needs and so forth. I will write about  Maslow Hierarchy of needs in a new post shortly.

Promotional Mix

A Promotional Mix consists of; Advertising, Sales Promotion, Public Relations, Personal Selling and Direct Marketing - e.g. 'Dear Rade, amnesty is facing a.....' sent to me via email. sometimes text message, call etc.

The Sales Promotion for Oxfam is present. People can shop online from their website, and they have shops across the UK. They sell a variety of things, such as clothes, books, kitchenware etc. These are donated by people.When people buy from Oxfam, the money goes to the main goal of the campaign, which is to end poverty and injustice.

It is a campaign dedicated to spreading the image of helping people in need so that itself is a form of Public Relations. Additionally, Oxfam does special events. For example, they have fundraising events, they have something called Oxjam and it hosts musical events and cycling events.

They also do Direct Marketing, because when people sign to a Newsletter, Oxfam directs
