Jetset

Today, we experimented with Adobe Illustrator to create our own take of one of their designs. This is a good way for me to practice my skills on the software and improve on it. Designs best suit a maximum of three colours. Anymore would look unprofessional, the people would find a harder time trying to recognise the identity.

This is my design inspired by the top picture.

I got inspiration from this design, and decided to keep the format and placing on the words somewhat the same. I changed the line to "You know I hate you still", because I prefer that wording. I used kurning, leading and tracking to make the words look similar to the one that Jetset did, but ended up not looking perfect, as some characters were touching. I made the letters less bold than the original, and could have made the writing at the top bigger. I like the uses of colour that I added, because blue  and dark pink look terrible together in my opinion. I added a third extra colour, and that is white.
