Elements of an identity

Each identity has a certain; logo, tagline, typeface, colours, format, positioning an angle of the title or tagline of the identity. An identity can have a different colour in every new poster for example but it must contain the same typeface, format and logo or campaign name for people to recognise it, and not mistake it for another identity.

They're made for organisations to be appeal and connect with their target audience, and 

The 38 Degrees identity

The typeface of the identity always stays the same for it to be recognised. The colours that they use are orange and white. There have been instances wherein the colour black or dark grey is used and displayed at an angle for a campaign that is displaying the identity of 38 Degrees, such as the image below.

Sometimes the colour of the type is white, and the background is orange. Other times the type is orange on a white background. It is usually sat at a slanted angle. Those are the main elements of the identity along with the slogan/tagline.

The uses of identities in campaigning

Using identities in campaigning allows people to recognize the identity because of its logo, same typeface and same colour(s) used in every campaign and identified as the logo of the identity.
